A new Go-Pro like action camera named Insta360 Go 2 from Insta360 has been launched in the US at a price of $299 (roughly Rs 22,000). The Insta360 Go 2 is not a 360-degree camera like other products from the company, as it is a part of the ?Go? series. The Insta360 Go 2 comes as the successor of the Insta360 Go and brings a slew of improvements and new features. The Insta360 Go 2 is a tiny action camera that can be attached to accessories magnetically. It also comes with a bunch of accessories inside the box, allowing creators to use the camera in different conditions and for different kind of activities.
Priced at $299 (roughly Rs 22,000), the Insta360 Go 2 is only available for purchase in the US for now. The international availability of the Insta360 Go 2 has not been revealed yet. The camera comes in a pill-shaped design, which allows the Insta360 Go 2 to be used in places where a traditional action camera may feel bulky. There is a bigger sensor on the Insta360 Go 2 as compared to its predecessor, that is capable of recording videos in 2K resolution (1440p) at a 50fps frame rate. It can also record HDR footage at the same resolution at a 24fps frame rate. There is basic image stabilisation on the Insta360 Go 2, along with Insta360?s FlowState stabilisation that is activated in the Pro Video mode.
The Insta360 Go 2 comes with 32GB of internal storage, out of which, only 28GB is available for the users. The camera can be paired with an iPhone or an Android smartphone via Bluetooth 5. The smartphone can be used as a viewfinder for the Insta360 Go 2 action camera. The case of the Go 2 also doubles up as a charger which is claimed to fully charge the battery three times. The case can be also used as a remote control as well as a tripod for the action camera. The Insta360 Go 2 is IPx8 water resistant and can be used till up to 13ft underwater.
In terms of battery, the Insta360 Go 2 claims to offer up to 30 minutes of runtime with basic stabilisation, or 20 minutes of runtime with the Pro Video mode active. There is a USB type-C port for charging and the Insta360 Go 2 is claimed to charge fully in an hour.
