New Delhi: Google has updated its Google Play Games app with a much asked-for feature- an ability to record and share the gaming progress.

The Google Play Games app now allows gamers to record videos of their game progress and share it with friends or fellow players.

The record and share feature can record footage in 480p and 720p resolutions, and also capture the gamer as he or she plays via the device’s front-facing camera, Slash Gear notes.

All that the gamer needs to do to start recording is tap the red circular record button on the game’s main page on the app and start playing. One can further edit the video before sharing it via YouTube. Players can also add commentary using the device’s microphone.

The new feature will first be made available in the US and UK with other countries following suit.
