After months of launching Gboard keyboard for iOS, Google, has now decided to rebrand Google Keyboard for Android on the same moniker.What is Gboard?

The Gboard also features a gif search, which will drop an animated image right into your chat window. While doing the regular search, the results appear as a replacement for the keyboard. In fact, the search results are presented as a card with the search information that has been requested.
