New Delhi: If you deserve a smart wearable, so does your pet pooch. A hi-tech dog collar developed by Squeaker is akin to a fitness device for humans and helps you keep track of the activity and fitness of your dog.
Buddy – the smart dog collar offers similar functionality as found in human fitness trackers and comes with GPS to help you track the location of your pet. It features a temperature sensor, an accelerometer, Bluetooth connectivity, a rechargeable battery and an in-built OLED information display.
The Apple Watch-of-sorts for pets, Buddy smart dog collar is completely waterproof and comes with LED lighting effects. With the compatible app, owners can also create a virtual activity fence for the pet, which will alert the owner if it moves beyond the designated area and fire off the WiFi-based LED lighting alerts.
If you own the Apple Watch, you can control Buddy's lighting system as well as track your pet’s activity via integration with Apple's Health app, straight from your wrist.
Buddy comes in small, medium, and large sizes and will sell for $180 when it hits the stores following its Kickstarter campaign.
