Venkatesh Daggubati-starrer Saindhav To Have Its OTT Premiere On February 9: Report

Tollywood star Venkatesh Daggubati graced the screens during Sankranti this year with his action thriller film Saindhav, directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Portraying a devoted family man concealing a mysterious past as a father, the film captivated his fan base, although it didn’t receive overwhelming praise upon its release. Amazon Prime Video secured the digital streaming rights for Victory Venkatesh’s recent stylish action thriller, paying Rs 15 crore. Despite a lukewarm theatrical reception, the movie is set to debut on OTT, likely on February 9, deviating from the initially anticipated mid-March release. It will reportedly have its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video due to its subdued box office performance. An official announcement on this is still awaited.

In Saindhav, Venkatesh embraced a new persona with the character SaiKo (Saindhav Koneru). SaiKo abandoned his previous life to be a devoted father and loving husband. Venturing into a heavy action role for the first time, Venkatesh portrayed SaiKo, a simple family man living with his wife Manogna and daughter Gayathri. SaiKo harbours a dark past, which is not even known to his wife. When his daughter falls ill with spinal muscular atrophy, requiring a costly Rs 17 crore injection, SaiKo is compelled to revisit his troubled history to confront a formidable gangster and an old adversary, Vikas Malik.

The family action thriller also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in his Telugu debut as Vikas Malik. Arya portrays Manas, while Shraddha Srinath takes on the role of Manogya, Saindhav Koneru’s wife. Ruhani Sharma appears as Dr Renu and Andrea Jeremiah plays the character Jasmine. The film also features notable roles by actors Jisshu Sengupta, Mukesh Rishi and Jayaprakash.

Sailesh Kolanu served as both the writer and director of the film, while Venkat Boyanapalli financed the project under the Niharika Entertainment banner. Santhosh Narayanan took charge of the entire music and score for the film. S Manikandan handled cinematography, and Garry BH worked as the editor, contributing to the overall production of Saindhav.
