Actor Ram Charan’s fans are eagerly waiting for the release of his highly-anticipated upcoming film, Game Changer. Reports suggest that the film has been delayed once again. The film, directed by Shankar, is now expected to hit theatres either in January or in the summer of 2025. The main reason for the delay reportedly is Shankar himself, who is simultaneously shooting Indian 2. Hit fame director Sailesh Kolanu was expected to direct a few sequences for Game Changer. Recently, the director opened up about his work on this film. Sailesh is currently promoting his upcoming film Saindhav, headlined by Venkatesh. While speaking about directing Game Changer during a promotional event, he shared there are certain B-roll shots for every film that don’t include the main artists. He said that Shankar sir did not ask others to direct those shots but once when he got stuck somewhere, he wanted another experienced director to direct those shots.
Sailesh added, “Dil Raju sir called and asked if I could direct those shots. Hence, I worked for one or two days since Shankar sir wasn’t available. I didn’t direct any sequences in Game Changer. Dil Raju sir is like my family. The shots that I directed are fillers. In fact, I ask my assistants to complete those shots for my films. I was surprised when Shankar sir instructed that an experienced director should do it.”
Sailesh further noted, “I like Charan Anna (Ram Charan) and grew up watching Shankar sir’s films. That is why I completed the task given by Dil Raju sir. I don’t even know the story of Game Changer. I don’t know what the film is about. I wish great success for Game Changer. I hope Shankar sir comes up with something nice.”
Game Changer stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The film also features Anjali, SJ Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, and Nassar in prominent roles. Produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film was expected to release this year, but now has been postponed given the tight schedule of the director Shankar.
