UP Election 2017: 60% Turnout Till 5 PM, Polling Largely Peaceful
Around 56 per cent of the 1.41 crore voters exercised their franchise till 4 PM in the seventh and last phase of Uttar Pradesh elections covering 40 Assembly seats spread over seven districts.

Sixty percent of voters cast their ballot in the seventh and last phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh till 5 pm on Wednesday, the poll panel said.

The final figure may go up, Deputy Election commissioner Vijay Dev said.

The voting was largely peaceful, he said.
