Thiruvananthapuram: 10:20 am: Union Minister Shashi Tharoor is trailing in his constituency by over 16,000 votes. BJP's C Rajagopal is leading in the seat.
9:30 am: Congress is leading in six seats. Meanwhile,the Left is ahead in eight seats. BJP is leading in just one seat.
8:30 am: Congress-led UDF is leading in 7 out of the 20 Lok Sabha seats. Union Minister Shashi Tharoor too is leading in his Thiruvananthapuram LS constituency.
Counting for the 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala has begun. While the postal ballots are being counted, votes registered in EVMs would be counted at 8:30 am.
Kerala is likely to witness a close fight between the ruling Congress-led UDF, and the Left as was witnessed the last Assembly elections.
Union Minister Shashi Tharoor is amongst key candidates in the southern state.
