Mumbai: Shiv Sena workers reportedly vandalised a vehicle belonging to a worker of the NCP after a party worker of the latter allegedly made uncharitable remarks about Bal Thackeray.
Maharashtra assembly polls are scheduled for October 13 and the BJP-Shiv Sena combine in the state is looking to oust the Congress-NCP alliance that has been in power for a decade now.
Meanwhile, just days ahead of the assembly polls, an FIR has been filed against former Maharashtra chief minister and Congressman Vilasrao Deshmukh's son Amit Deshmukh for violating the model code of conduct in the Latur police station.
Deshmukh and his supporters have been accused of disrupting a rally led by rival candidate Annarao Patil in Babhalgaon village. Amit Deshmukh is contesting the upcoming assembly polls from Latur, his father's bastion, against Annarao Patil who is a Third Front candidate.
