Patna: Minister for Steel and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Thursday filed his nomination papers from Hajipur constituency in Bihar for the Lok Sabha elections.
Paswan, who has won from Hajipur many times, was accompanied by Railways Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad.
Many of LJP leaders including Paswan's brother and state unit president Pashupati Kumar Paras, MP Surajbhan Singh and party legislator Rama Singh were also present.
After filing his nomination, Paswan and Lalu addressed a public meeting in which they urged the people to support and vote for the LJP-RJD alliance.
Hajipur is scheduled to go to poll in the second phase of polls April 23.
