President poll: Who is meeting whom?
Congress President Sonia Gandhi will meet NCP chief Sharad Pawar at 5 pm on Thursday to discuss the Presidential candidate.

New Delhi: The race for the President's post is witnessing new twists and turn every minute. While a series of meeting changed the game on Wednesday, another series of meetings are bringing new twists to the Presidential contest on Thursday.

Here's an account of who is meeting whom over the Presidential elections:

- Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to meet Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav again on Thursday evening. Mamata, after separate meeting with Sonia Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday, revealed her three choices for the Presidential candidate - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former President APJ Abdul Kalam and former Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee.

- The Samajwadi Party will also hold its parliamentary board meeting on Thursday evening, sources said.

- BJP leader LK Advani met AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Thursday and discussed the Presidential elections. Advani said that the BJP was still discussing names. He also said that the NDA will meet on Friday to discuss the situation. Jayalalithaa has been backing NCP leader PA Sangma for the President's post.

- Congress President Sonia Gandhi will meet NCP chief Sharad Pawar at 5 pm on Thursday to discuss the Presidential candidate.

- Sonia Gandhi is expected to meet Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

- Congress President Sonia Gandhi first met Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday at 10 am at her residence. Sources say Sonia is reluctant to let go of Pranab as the Presidential candidate.

- Sonia Gandhi then met Defence Minister AK Antony at 10:30 am at her residence. Home Minister P Chidambaram and DMK leader TR Baalu were also present at the meeting.

- The Congress Core Committee is scheduled to meet at 5:30 pm on Thursday.

- The NCP leaders will meet at Sharad Pawar's residence on Thursday for a brainstorming session. The NCP had said that it would support the Congress's candidate.

- JD(U) leaders were also meeting on Thursday to discuss the Presidential elections. The JD(U) leaders haven't made their stance clear on the Presidential candidate.
