Preparations in full swing for VVIP guests at Modi's swearing-in
Leaders from all SAARC nations as well as Mauritius will attend a dinner hosted by Pranab Mukherjee after the ceremony.

New Delhi: As Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi will take oath on Monday at Rashtrapati Bhawan, preparations are underway for the VVIP guests at the swearing-in ceremony.

Bangladesh Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and Bhutan Prime Minister Tobgay will arrive in Delhi on Sunday. Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to land on Monday.

Leaders from all seven SAARC nations as well as Mauritius will attend a dinner hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee after the swearing-in ceremony. Modi and Mukherjee will also take part in a series of meetings with the SAARC leaders.

Meanwhile, security arrangements are also underway as 7,000 Delhi Police personnel are deployed for Modi's open-air ceremony which will be attended by 3,500 Indian and foreign dignitaries.

Delhi Police has taken full responsibility of the security of the visiting dignitaries. A 3-tier security has been laid at the presidential estate.

Delhi police Officials will also be spread across for the security at hotels, streets and all roads connecting to the venue. The world leaders will be staying at seven different hotels around Rashtrapati Bhawan.
