"Let me put to rest the irresponsible speculation. No secret meetings happening between BJP and MNS," Shelar said.
Mumbai: Ashish Shelar, the city BJP chief, rubbished the reports of a secret meeting between former party president Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray at a five-star hotel in Mumbai on Monday.
"Let me put to rest the irresponsible speculation. No secret meetings happening between BJP and MNS," Shelar said on Twitter.
Some Marathi news-channels reported in the morning that Gadkari and Thackeray, who are known to enjoy a good rapport, were in a secret meeting at a five-star hotel, where Shelar too was present.
Last month Gadkari attended the ground-breaking ceremony of Goda Park, a riverbank beautification project of Nashik Municipal Corporation where MNS is in power with the BJP's support.
