There is no sign of a government shaping up in Jammu and Kashmir, even as legislators of the PDP are slated to meet on Monday to take a stand on the issue. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti is also likely to reach the national capital following the meeting.
Meanwhile, sources told CNN-IBN that the PDP is unhappy with how the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) misrepresented the conditions agreed upon by the two allies.
The BJP, however, put the blame on the PDP, saying that it would not accept any demands from the party and that a government cannot be formed on any conditions.
While BJP said it could not form the government based on fresh conditions put forth by the PDP, the regional party maintained that there were no new demands made by it but it only wanted assurances on a timeframe for implementation of the "Agenda of Alliance" agreed between the two parties in 2015.
Jammu and Kashmir has been without a government ever since Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed passed away in January.
