While Akhilesh says his father will be the new CM, Mulayam recommends his son to lead the Uttar Pradesh government.
Lucknow: Having won an unexpected landslide in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday met Governor B L Joshi to discuss government formation.
However, the suspense over who would be the Chief Minister of the state still remains.
Earlier, Akhilesh, who led the party to win 224 seats, routing the Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government, had said that his father would be the new Chief Minister of the state.
Mulayam, who has been the CM for three terms, however, had recommended that Akhilesh be made the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
