Jaipur: Gujjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla has called for a mahapanchayat in Bayana on Sunday to press for 5 per cent quota for special backward classes.
The mahapanchayat is aimed at getting a positive response from the Vasundhara Raje government in Rajasthan. The 5 per cent SBC quota has already been cleared by the court.
The Rajasthan Gurjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti held its meeting under Bainsla in the city on Wednesday to chalk out a strategy to forcefully raise the SBC quota demand once again. on the lines of the Vasundhara Raje government's initiative, the Congress state leadership too was planning to undertake division-wise feedback tours to meet people and hear their grievances, said sources.
