Bhupinder Singh Hooda cast his vote in his native Sanghi village.

Rohtak: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday cast his vote in his native Sanghi village and exuded confidence that the ruling Congress would sweep the Assembly elections and form the government in the state again.

Hooda, accompanied by his wife Asha Hooda and his MP son Deepender Hooda, exercised his right to franchise at Booth No 9.

''The Congress will sweep the elections in Haryana and re-write the history of the state,'' he said, talking to reporters.

He said the Opposition parties, including the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the BJP, had not done anything for the benefit of the people in the state and the public had no expectations from them any more.

On the other hand, he said, the Congress had put an end to the caste politics being promoted by the other parties and focused on the development in the state.

The Chief Minister had arrived in his home town on Monday and had an interaction with his advocate friends in the city on Monday evening.
