Govt indecisive on Telangana issue: Advani
Advani said there should be no difficulty in passing a bill on Telangana in the Winter Session of Parliament.

Nizamabad: BJP leader LK Advani has played the Telangana card slamming the UPA government for going back on its promise on the demand for separate statehood. Addressing a gathering at at Nizamabad, the senior BJP leader criticised the Manmohan Singh cabinet for not taking a decision on the Telangana issue.

This region of Andhra Pradesh is one that is badly effected by the condition of the UPA. The home minister announced that they would be forming the state of the Telangana, they virtually went back on the promise."

Advani also drew parallels with the NDA government which didn't dither in the formation of Jharkhand, Chhhattisgarh, Uttarakahand during its tenure.

"I recall that our government headed by Vajpayee, me as home minister initiated steps for formation of states like Uttrakhand, Jharkhand and Chhatisgarh. These states were formed unanimously," he said.

Advani said the government is in a state of confusion and lost the ability to make decisions while the Telangana issue is burning Andhra Pradesh. He added even though people are committing suicide the government is still indecisive.

He added that there should be no difficulty in passing a bill on Telangana in the Winter Session of Parliament.
