The local police FIR has claimed that CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur stopped newly-elected BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at the Mohali airport and slapped her. The FIR is based on the complaint given by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Inspector who was escorting Kangana Ranaut. In his complaint, Inspector Surendra Kumar Sharma has told Punjab Police that Kaur came out from her frisking booth and slapped Ranaut. It also states that Kaur was pushed by a woman police constable to protect Ranaut.
According to the FIR accessed by News18, Ranaut was escorted by four staffers including CISF inspector, 2 women police staffers and Vistara airline staff.
The FIR says, “It is submitted that on 6 June Miss Kangana Ranaut (Film actress and newly elected MP From Mandi Himachal Pradesh) was travelling from Chandigarh to Delhi by Vistara Flight No UK-707(STD-1545hrs). At about 1526 hrs, she cleared PESC (pre-embarkation security check) formalities duly assisted by CISF SHA Inspector (Surendra Kumar Sharma, lnspector/Executive), CISF Lady officer (Constable Suneet Kumar), local police lady officer (lady Constable Veerpal Kaur) and airlines staff.”
“After completion of PESC (pre-embarkation security check), she was proceeding towards boarding gate at about 1528 hrs and in the meantime, CISF Lady Constable Kulwinder Kaur who was also deployed in the Domestic SHA (adjacent ladies frisking booth) came out from her frisking booth and slapped Miss Kangana Ranaut. Immediately, lady Constable Kulwinder Kaur was pushed by Lady Constable Veerpal Kaur towards frisking booth. Later, Kangana Ranaut left PESC point and proceeded for her scheduled flight. In this regard, it is requested to lodge an FIR against CISF lady Constable/GO’ Kulwinder Kaur for her misbehavior with Miss Kangana Ranaut,” Surendra Kumar Sharma said in his complaint, based on which the FIR has been filed.
The police said that they checked the CCTV footage of the incident as well. Police said that Ranaut was stopped by Kaur who slapped her and misbehaved with her too.
What The Woman CISF Constable Said
A video has surfaced where after the incident, Kulwinder Kaur is seen speaking to a passenger asking about the reason of slapping Kangana Ranaut. The constable replied, “She (Kangana) said that during farmer protest, women were sitting there for Rs 100. When she gave this statement, my mother was sitting there. Will Kangana sit at the protest?”

In a video message after reaching Delhi, Kangana Ranaut said that she was safe. “I am getting calls from Media and my dear ones. I am safe, while at the airport, a woman CISF constable hit on my face and started abusing me. When I asked her why she did that, she said that she supports farmer protest. But, I am concerned about the increase of terrorism in Punjab,” Kangana said in Hindi.
