Kochi: Hamdulla Sayeed of Congress defeated Dr P Pookunhikoya of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) by 2,198 votes from Lakshadweep.
P M Hamdulla is son of former Union Minister P M Sayeed.
It was a sweet revenge for debutant Congress candidate Hamdulla Sayeed who wrested the lone parliamentary constituency of Lakshadweep from NCP's Dr Pookunji Koya by a margin of 2198 votes.
