Jaipur: A Congress delegation, led by Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sachin Pilot, will meet Governor Kalyan Singh on Friday and demand sacking of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who is embroiled in the Lalit Modi-controversy.
The delegation would meet the Governor and hand over a representation to him demanding sacking of the chief minister, PCC Vice President Archna Sharma said.
Leader of Opposition Rameshwar Dudi, Congress MLAs, and the party's office bearers will accompany Pilot, she said.
Raje came under fire after Lalit Modi's lawyers last month released an set of unsigned papers which they claimed were a secret witness document by Raje favouring Lalit Modi's immigration pleas in a London court.
As per the documents Raje wanted to appear as a witness on the condition that Indian authorities are not told about it.
The chief minister's son, Dushyant Singh, was under attack over reports that his company allegedly received Rs 11.63 crore in investments from Lalit Modi in 2008.
Congress attacked Raje on Wednesday citing media reports that Lalit Modi's name was recommended for Padma award during her previous tenure in 2007.
