Mumbai: Congress candidate Priya Dutt will be filing her nomination papers from the North-Central constituency of Mumbai.
The daughter of the late actor-turned-politician Sunil Dutt had to file her nomination on Monday but due to traffic jam she got late in filing her papers.
"I was a bit late. Thanks to traffic jams and crowd outside here, I could not reach on time. I could not file the nomination papers as the office was closed," Priya Dutt told reporters outside the Collectorate in suburban Bandra on Monday.
Priya's brother and actor Sanjay Dutt, who recently joined the Samajwadi Party (SP), was not with her at the office.
When asked if Sanjay would campaign for her, Priya said: "He (Sanjay) is always with me."
She was accompanied by party Mumbai chief Kripashankar Singh and supporters.
