New Delhi: A Delhi court on Thursday allowed former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh to visit Singapore for the treatment of his kidney infection.
Tis Hazari court on Thursday granted permission to Amar Singh to go to Singapore from November 8 -30. Court has asked him to furnish a fixed deposit of Rs 5 lakh.
Earlier, Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh, an accused in the 2008 cash-for-vote scam case, moved a Delhi court seeking its permission to go abroad for treatment of his kidney ailment.
In an application to Special Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal, Singh said he had been undergoing treatment at Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital following his kidney transplant and he needed to go there for regular check-up.
The court issued notice to the Delhi Police for November 3 for its response on Singh's plea.
