BSP Expels MLA for Anti-Party Activities
Ever since senior party leader Swami Prasad Maurya had left the party alleging that money was being demanded for allotment of tickets, the BSP has been facing continued rebellion by its leaders and MLAs.

Lucknow: BSP has expelled Tilhar MLA Roshan Lal Verma on charges of "anti-party activities" amid growing resentment within the party over allotment of seats for the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

"Verma had been remaining absent from the constituency since a long time and ignoring workers...He and his son have also been indulging in activities which were earning a bad name to the party," Bareilly zonal coordinator Brahm Swaroop. Sagar said in a statement issued here today.

Verma was issued a warning three months ago to mend his ways and had been clearly told that he will not be given a party ticket for the upcoming assembly polls, Sagar said, adding "since there has been no improvement in his working, he has been expelled on the directives of the party high command."

Ever since senior party leader Swami Prasad Maurya had left the party alleging that money was being demanded for allotment of tickets, the BSP has been facing continued rebellion by its leaders and MLAs.

Two MLAs- Romi Sahani and Brijesh Verma- had recently turned rebel against the BSP Supremo Mayawati accusing her of demanding money for assembly tickets and subsequently opposed the party's sloganeering against expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh's family members, including his minor daughter
