Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP will launch on November 2 'Jan Jagran Yatras' from four places in the state to target the Omar Abdullah-led government on issues of "corruption and deficit in development".
"We will launch 10 days long Jan Jagran Yatras from four areas of Hiranagar (Kathua), Paddar (Kishtwar), Samba and Poonch from November 2 against the corruption, scam, deficit in development and governance in the state," state BJP chief Shamsher Singh Manhas told reporters in Jammu on Monday.
Manhas, who released two documents containing the issues confronting the state, demanded resignation of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, alleging that the NC-led coalition had become a den of corruption.
He was flanked by National Executive members Nirmal Singh, Ashok Khajuria (MLA) and Jugal Kishore Sharma (MLA) - who will be leading the four yatras ahead of the arrival of LK Advani's Jan Chetna Yatra here on November 16.
Manhas alleged that instead of attending to the problems of refugees, farmers, unemployed youths and other sections, the state government was busy promoting dynastic rule and encouraging corrupt elements.
