Bengaluru: A doctor in Bengaluru has put his vote on sale for upcoming BBMP elections to be held on Saturday. He has put the advertisement on Quikr.com to raise awareness.
The advertisement says:
I am a regular voter in all elections till date. I have decided to sell my vote for the forthcoming BBMP elections to the highest bidder. I am expecting Rs 10000/- for my vote. Why?
All scams in the BBMP total up to 5000 Crores that is 250 Cr per ward. You need 5000 votes to win a ward. So an investment of 5 crore, the winner can make up to 250 Cr over 5 years

According to people, money is being spent like water in the BBMP elections by all major political parties. On an average Rs 7-8 crore is spent on each ward by all candidates put together. Bengaluru City Corporation has 198 wards and the total cost would be over Rs 1500 crore in this election.
