New Delhi: Bajrang Dal is conducting the annual self-defence camp in Ayodhya city in Uttar Pradesh to train its cadres to get familiarise with rifles, sword fight and sticks so that they can protect the Hindus.
Bajrang Dal is the youth wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
Opposition party leaders alleged that the self-defence camp is an attempt to trigger communal tension in Ayodhya ahead of 2017 Assembly elections. They also accused BJP of raising communal tensions in the state.
Sandeep Dikshit, Congress leader, said, "Bajrang Dal's self defence camp is illegal and a threat to law and order. They are training goons to target members of the minority community."
NCP leader Majeed Memon, said, "The Uttar Pradesh government should take action against the organiser of the camp."
