Ponniyin Selvan costume designer and celebrity stylist Eka Lakhani got engaged to producer Ravi Bhagchandka in Mumbai.
Looking ethereal in ivory, Eka Lakhani looked ethereal in an Anamika Khanna ensemble and Ravi, who was styled by Eka, adorned a Kunal Rawal sherwani. The couple complemented each other with their Indian contemporary attires exuding traditional allure.
On August 21, Eka took to Instagram to share a series of images expressing her joy, which also reflected in the dreamy pictures featuring her and Ravi. Eka, who styled her fiance Ravi for their engagement, was quick enough to mention it in the caption. She said, “Styled my man for the first time. He couldn’t escape it.”
Eka, known for her impeccable sense of style and being one of the most sought after celebrity stylists, looked timeless in Anamika Khanna’s creation. Keeping it simple yet evergreen, Eka’s anarkali featured distinct embroidery detailing. The pastel silhouette was enhanced with Kishandas & Co. jewellery. The magnificent layered necklace with the emerald pendant added a regal touch to Eka’s traditional look.
“I love being a stylist..the behind the scenes madness and frenzy to create a magical look keeps me going. But when it came to get myself ready, for our moment, I went blank. Experience says, go with your gut feeling at times like these..so I let the best in biz, my dearest friends, take the lead and all of it came together in the best way possible! Everything feels like a dream!,” shared Eka, on her Instagram post.
She also went on to thank make-up artist Lekha Gupta and hair stylist Hiral Bhatia for creating her dreamy look. “Thank you @makeupbylekha for making me glow and @bbhiral for creating art with flowers..the bun is everything dreamy!” expressed Eka.
Eka’s engagement ensemble sets the tone for brides who like to keep it classic. This traditional attire is not just festive but also timeless and can be adorned at every occasion. Very demure and very mindful!
To commemorate their special day, the couple organised a party which was attended by the who’s who of the fashion and the film industry including Karan Johar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sidharth, among others.
