A recent video of a car accident in Bihar’s Siwan has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. In the video, people can be seen standing surrounding the car and stealing hundreds of liquor bottles, which the car was carrying.
Soon after the accident, the driver of the car got off and ran away from from that spot, fearing arrest. Selling of liquor has been banned in Bihar since 2016.

Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had asked authorities to identify the routes being used to smuggle liquor to Bihar from other states.
The CM had asked for strict implementation of the prohibition law, with focus on stemming the supply of liquor to the state. Chairing a meeting with top officials in his office on Monday, Kumar asked them to identify the routes being used to smuggle liquor to Bihar from other states.
Liquor ban was enforced in Bihar in April 2016.
