The ICC shared a clip of the buggy cam covered with an orange towel near India's dug-out at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The Indian cricket team is having a dream run in the ICC Cricket World Cup having won all their eight matches so far. The impact of their excellent on-field performances is reflecting on their off-field shenanigans as well with clips of players having fun being widely shared on social media.

India are playing the Netherlands today in Bengaluru, hoping for their ninth win to close out the league stage in style.

India captain Rohit Sharma opted to bat first and the team made full use of the batting friendly conditions at M Chinnaswamy Stadium with as many as five players hitting 50-plus scores to set a new world cup record.

Sparkling centuries from Shreyas Iyer (126*) and KL Rahul (102) propelled India to 410/4 against the Netherlands in Bengaluru. Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli struck half-centuries in a dominant batting display.

While the batters were having a gala time, the Indian players in the dug-out were having fun of their own with Suryakumar Yadav getting the ‘buggy camera’ covered with an orange towel.

The buggy camera was focused on Suryakumar who was all geared up to bat next as Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul struck a massive partnership in the middle.

Suryakumar smiled and when the buggy cam didn’t relent, asked it to be covered with a towel.

When the visuals of the equipment being covered with a cloth were shown on air, commentator Harsha Bhogle pointed out the prank, reminding Indian team, in jest, that the broadcasters need that cam to record videos.

The Buggy camera hit the headlines last week when the Indian team used it to announce the latest winner of their fielding medal.

India captain Rohit Sharma won the best fielder medal after their mammoth 243-run win over South Africa in Kolkata.

India have qualified for the semi-finals of the 2023 world cup after topping the points table and will take on New Zealand in the last-four stage.
