Flamboyant Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell shared his views on Team India’s pace attack as he praised Mohammed Shami for his seam position and ability to produce late outswingers. Shami has been in terrific form with the ball this World Cup and has claimed 16 wickets in just 4 matches. He missed out on playing the first four matches but made a big impact on the team in the last four he played.
Maxwell suggested that a carpenter would love to get the straight angle as Shami’s seam which he called the straightest thing in the world.
“Mohammed Shami’s seam is the straightest thing in the world. The carpenter would love to get a straight angle. Shami is too good with the new ball. We know how good Bumrah is and Siraj is a wicket-taker so he might be the guy, one can try and taken on. But his late outswing is so difficult to face,” Maxwell said on Club Prairie Fire podcast.

The Indian bowling attack has been in lethal form this World Cup as apart from Afghanistan and Bangladesh they have bundled out every team thus far they played.
Meanwhile, Maxwell also suggested a plan to play against the Indian bowling attack as he feels counterattacking them against a new ball can give the batting unit an edge over them.
“I think one of the key things we have found against India is that if you can get the ball scuffed early enough, play a few shots even if it is swinging, just take them on try and get some sort of edge into the cricket ball,” he added.
The star all-rounder said that the team who played defensively at the start of the innings against India, have failed miserably in the match.
“I think we have found that team’s who have gone defensively against them in the powerplay, then you are just a sitting duck. You are basically going to bring them back in the game,” he added.
