Subhash Kumar Jha was assaulted by the bull on February 22, outside St. George School in Delhi’s Kalkaji extension, NDTV reported.
The distressing event was captured in a video circulating on social media, showing the bull attacking Jha from behind and striking him repeatedly on the face and chest.
In the viral footage, people can be seen attempting to save Jha by hitting the bull with sticks.
The victim was transported to Batra Hospital, where he succumbed during treatment, the police added. The autopsy report revealed that Jha had sustained multiple fractures in his ribs and injuries to his head.
His body was subsequently handed over to his family after the post-mortem. Jha, originally from Bihar, worked as a loan agent in Delhi. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
The police further stated that they have communicated the information to the municipal corporation, highlighting the prevalent issue of stray animals in the locality.
