IPL 2024 Auction: 5 Players Royal Challengers Bangalore Would Look to Buy
Here’s look at five players Royal Challengers Bangalore will have their eyes on at the IPL 2024 Player auction on 19th December.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will gear up once again for another season of the IPL as they aim to go for the elusive title. The side has some big names like Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell which would strike fear on any bowler but somehow the side always manages to choke on the big occasions.

After missing out on the spot for play-offs, the side has released some big names primarily from the bowling attack to free up some funds. Another notable addition is the all-cash deal to acquire Cameron Green as well for a massive price of 17.5 crores. Another addition to the squad is the all-rounder Mayank Dagar who was brought in from SRH with Shahbaz Ahmed going the other way.

With the addition of the Australian all-rounder, the side is most likely to go all-out on one overseas bowler and a couple of Indian bowlers to help fill the remaining slots as the side will look to get back in contention for winning the title once again in the upcoming season.

5 Players RCB Can Target at IPL 2024 Auction

Mitchell Starc

It could be a homecoming for the experienced Australian pacer as RCB might look to make the reunion happen to bolster their pace attack with the two-time World Cup winner. This time around it is also unlikely that the pacer would withdraw from the tournament as he hopes to play in the IPL to best prepare himself for the upcoming T20 World Cup as well.

Chetan Sakariya

The young left-arm pacer has not had a consistent run of games since his debut season with the Rajasthan Royals. Since his switch to the Delhi Capitals and then to the Lucknow Supergiants, the pacer has not been a regular part of the playing eleven. His left-arm pace could be a good addition to Bangalore’s pace attack with Mohammed Siraj

Adil Rashid

The English spinner could find a new home in RCB with the side looking to find a specialist spinner to pair up with Glenn Maxwell. The leggie also has a knack for picking up big wickets and could prove to be one of the players that the franchise could target with spinners being a rare commodity in the current list of players who are up for the auctions. He is also handy with the bat which could also help lengthen the batting order as well which is an additional bonus.

Dilshan Madushanka

The left-arm pacer was the standout player for Sri Lanka in the 2023 World Cup and RCB could target the player to add to their pace-attack. Despite Sri Lanka’s terrible run in the tournament, Madushanka managed to stand out with a tally of 21 wickets in nine games. This could also be a good backup option if Reece Topley is to get injured again as well.

Arshin Kulkarni

The all-rounder who is part of India’s U19 squad will be a highly sought-after talent. He made his debut for Maharashtra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and has good power-hitting skills which could mean an ideal fit in the middle order to partner with Dinesh Karthik to finish the innings. Speaking of his bowling abilities, he is also handy with the new ball and can chip in with four overs when required.
