The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is set to close the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 tomorrow, September 29. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the exam on the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Candidates must note that they can apply for the exam till October 13 but with late fees.

GATE 2024 is scheduled to take place from February 3 to 11. The admit card will be made available on January 3, and the results are expected to be released on March 16. There will be a total of 30 test papers available for the GATE. Through the exam, candidates will be able to apply for admission to master’s and doctorate courses in engineering, technology, architecture, science, and humanities at governmental institutions.

GATE 2024: How to Apply

Step 1: Go to gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

Step 2: Next, select the direct link for the GATE 2024 application from the homepage.

Step 3: Register yourself and fill out the necessary login information.

Step 4: Next, click the log in page and enter your unique login information.

Step 5: The page will then display your GATE 2024 application form.

Step 6: Carefully enter all the necessary information and upload your documents after double-checking them.

Step 7: Complete the GATE 2024 application form, pay the application fee, and submit it.

Step 8: For future reference, download and print a physical copy of the GATE 2024 application form.

GATE 2024: Application Fees

Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,800 per paper. Those from the SC, ST, PwD, and female groups categories will have to pay Rs 900 per paper.

The GATE 2024 is an objective-based exam that will be conducted in English. For MCQs, only one of the four answers is accurate. In MSQs, one or more of the four possible responses are accurate, while in NAT questions, the right response must be input using a virtual keypad. Students have been advised to use the provided virtual calculator on the screen for calculations.
