The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the datesheet for class 10 and 12 board examinations 2024 by the end of October, as per reports. Students must note that the board is yet to release the exact date and timing for the CBSE Board Exam 2024 date sheet. Students who will be appearing in the upcoming board exams in 2024 will be able to get the CBSE Board Class 10, 12 datesheet once released at the official websites of CBSE at cbse.gov.in and cbse.nic.in.
The board has previously announced that the CBSE Board Exam 2024 will be held from February 15 to April 10, 2024. These exams will last around 55 days, and an official announcement with a comprehensive schedule will be issued soon.
The CBSE board is currently focusing on processing the list of candidates (LOC) sent in by all of its affiliated schools. As soon as this concludes, the board will go on to put together and release the CBSE Class 10, 12 date sheet 2024.
The date sheet for the 2024 board exams is anticipated to be made public considerably sooner than the previous years, as per media reports. Based on past trends, the CBSE Board examination schedule is often made public 60 to 90 days or so prior to the start date of the exams. The dates for the board exams 2023 for both classes 10 and 12 were announced on December 29, 2022.
The class 10 and 12 board exam format and scoring system have undergone significant revisions by the CBSE beginning with the academic year 2024. This was done as an effort to lessen student academic pressure and to impose some limitations on the coaching culture.
The updated sample test papers suggested that there will be more competency-based questions in the CBSE board exam in 2024 as a result of the revisions made. This will allow students to concentrate on comprehending what they are learning rather than just memorising it.
Beginning this year, class 10 board exams will include 50 per cent competency or case-based and other type questions, 20 per cent response type questions, 20 per cent MCQs, and 30 per cent constructed response questions which would be both short answer/long answer questions.
Similarly, in class 12, up to 40 per cent of the questions will be competency/case-based, 20 per cent will be response type, 20 response MCQs, and 40 per cent will be constructed response questions.
