Bangladesh are set to take on Sri Lanka in their next World Cup match. After a poor run at the Asia Cup, Bangladesh made a strong start to their World Cup campaign, beating Afghanistan by seven wickets in their tournament opener.

However, since then the team has completely fallen apart, losing six matches in a row. Their most recent defeat came against Pakistan who emerged victorious by seven wickets, after a match-winning knock from Fakhar Zaman.

Bangladesh were also the first team to be eliminated from the ongoing World Cup. The team will be looking to leave the tournament on a winning note, as they hope to take down Sri Lanka in their next fixture.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will face each other at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on November 6.

Sri Lanka have also performed quite poorly at the World Cup, winning just two of their seven games so far. They are currently on a two-match losing streak with consecutive defeats against Afghanistan and India.

In their previous game, they were crushed by 302 runs, after a couple of phenomenal bowling spells from Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami. They will be looking to get back to winning ways in their game against Bangladesh.
