Vivek Agnihotri also hinted that even Shah Rukh Khan's fans have also been abusing him amid Jawan's success.

Vivek Agnihotri is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie The Vaccine War. The film, which will hit theatres on September 28, was earlier supposed to clash at the box office with Prabhas’ much-awaited Salaar. However, Prabhas starrer has now been pushed to December this year now is likely to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki.

In a recent interview, Vivek Agnihotri claimed Prabhas’ fans were ‘abusing’ and ‘trolling’ him when Salaar was supposed to hit theatres along with The Vaccine War. “The Vaccine War is a small film with no stars, made at Rs 12.5 crore budget. Another film, Salaar, was coming. A huge Rs 300 crore film. Their fans were abusing, trolling me, isko bhagao, nahi aana chaiye… Bhaag koi aur gaya.. They ran away,” he told Indian Express.

Agnihotri further hinted that even Shah Rukh Khan’s fans have also been abusing him amid Jawan’s success. Though the filmmaker did not take anybody’s name, he argued that another ‘huge Bollywood’ film’s fans are using his daughter’s photos and trolling him. “I am not saying don’t watch this and watch that,” he told the news portal.

Though The Vaccine War is not clashing with Salaar at the box office, it is all set to face competition from Fukrey 3, which will also hit theatres on the same day. Talking about the same, Vivek Agnihotri said, “One film released now, it’s five-six weeks old but they are still talking about that as if there’s no other film that exists. Today, all these trade journalists wrote that there is a film coming with me named Fukrey. I have no competition with it. It’s a comedy and a franchise. Both are different films, and both should work. It’s a five-day weekend and I hope Fukrey is also a superhit and The Vaccine War should also be seen.”

The Vaccine War talks about the struggle of Indian scientists that went behind the development of vaccines. The film stars Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi as lead characters. Produced by Pallavi Joshi and I Am Buddha, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on September 28.
