Vikram Bhatt RECALLS When He Had A Fallout With Mahesh Bhatt: 'The Conflict Was Created, It Was Not...'
Vikram Bhatt opened up about his relationship with Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt and their long-lasting feud.

The three Bhatts of Bollywood, Mahesh Bhatt, Vikram Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt are well-known figures in the entertainment industry. However, things have not always been rosy between Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt as there has been a long standing clash between them. Now Vikram Bhatt has shed light on it and explained why he has been on Mahesh Bhatt’s side.

During a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, Vikram Bhatt revealed, “Bhatt sahab (Mahesh Bhatt) gifted me a painting of a peacock. The peacock is flying over a desert. Bhatt sahab told me that this peacock is like you. He is flying over a desert in full-blown colours. One day I was talking to Bhatt sahab and I went to the toilet. After coming back, I saw that my driver Inder is taking my painting. I asked him, ‘Where are you taking this painting.’ He told me, ‘Boss (Mahesh Bhatt) has asked to keep it in my car.’ I asked Bhatt sahab, and he said, ‘You get out of the company.’ I asked him what happened ,and he said, ‘Saalo tak mere bhai (Mukesh Bhatt) ne mujhe exploit kia hai. Main nahi chahta ki woh tujhe exploit kare. (My brother has exploited me for year. I don’t want him to exploit you). You go and do something on your own. I had to do what Boss said’.”

The film-maker also opened up about a brief misunderstanding with Mahesh Bhatt, “The conflict was created, it was not there. There was a misunderstanding. I think I am at fault in that misunderstanding because as his student, I should have asked him, ‘What I am hearing and reading, have you said that? Or has somebody made you say that?’ But I never did that. I was in my own ego and that was my mistake. Because if I think of him as my guru, I should have respected him. When I went back to him after 5-6 years, I told him, ‘Boss, I am not here to direct a film. I am here to admit my mistake. I will do whatever you ask me too. If you say edit a film or drive my car, I do everything.’ He got very emotional. He also tweeted about it. He told me, ‘If you are a director, why will you drive a car?’ That’s how the work on Raaz 3 started,” he shared.

Vikram Bhatt has a stellar career in Bollywood as a film director. He has films like Bambai Ka Babu, Ghulam, Raaz, Footpath, 1920 among others under his belt.
