Sunny Deol On Living With Dharmendra: 'I Fear My Father, We Are Not Always In The Same Room'
Sunny Deol said that although his family members are busy with their projects, they are always together.

The Deol family are currently on a roll. With Dharmendra’s stellar performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Sunny’s record-breaking success with Gadar 2, his son Rajveer’s debut with Dono and Bobby’s highly-anticipated film Animal’s teaser release, the family has been in the headlines consistently. However, while they show up to support one another at events or on social media, Sunny Deol said that they are hardly in the same room at home.

Sunny Deol told Brut, “I think we all have our own different things. We live together but we do our respective jobs. My kids were studying and working on themselves. I was shooting around. My dad was doing something else, Bobby is doing something, but we are always together. I remember when we did Apne and Yamla Pagla Deewana together, I thought we were all together more than being at home because we were working together. It’s great. We do have our own holidays here and there. I fear my dad, they (Rajveer and Karan) fear me, so we are not always in the same room.”

In the same interview, Rajveer gave the audience some insight into Sunny’s parenting style. He said, “He was a strict father, but now he is cool.” After this, Sunny also went on to praise Rajveer, who despite his learning difficulty, was a resilient child. Sunny said, “He was a very naughty boy. He was full of life and he had his way of overcoming the shortcomings of his life. I was proud of him the way he was tackling everything in school.”

“He was dyslexic, so the issues used to be difficult in school. But we fortunately knew what it was and tackled it pretty well. So, that was the time he had issues with the kids at school. You know how kids are and kids have to handle that themselves. So, he has been focused, determined and he hasn’t taken any of his shortcomings seriously,” Sunny added.

Rajveer recently made his acting debut with Avnish S Barjatya’s Dono. His father Sunny Deol and his brother Karan Deol were photographed on the red carpet at the premiere, when they exchanged a loving hug. Bobby Deol also showed up with his family to support his nephew.
