Superstar Shah Rukh Khan not only dominated the Indian box office but also emerged as a top trend on Google. In the recently announced top trending searches for 2023, Shah Rukh’s releases of the year, Pathaan and Jawan, took center stage in the movies section.
According to the press release, ‘India’s Year in Search 2023’, Jawan secured the top trending local film position and number 3 top trending film search globally. “Gadar 2 and Pathaan also secured coveted spots as local and worldwide trending films,” the announcement read. Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 blockbuster, Jawan, raked in ₹1160 crore globally, according to a Sacnilk.com report. The spotlight is now on his third film of the year, Dunki, to see if it can match the impressive box office success of Pathaan and Jawan. Pathaan became the initial film to surpass ₹650 crore in global box office earnings. Co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the spy film, released around Republic Day, has accumulated a lifetime worldwide gross of ₹1055 crore, according to a Sacnilk.com report.
Not only did Filmmaker Atlee’s Jawan secure a place in the global top 3, but Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also piqued listeners’ curiosity with their chart-topping Brahmastra track Kesariya. The Pritam-composed song, penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Arijit Singh, claimed the second spot among globally searched and hummed songs.
