Salman Khan has often guided young actors in Bollywood as they venture into the industry. From Varun Dhawan to Arjun Kapoor, actors have often spoken about how the superstar’s words of wisdom have inspired them. Now it seems, another stellar name is going to get added in that list and she is none other than his own niece Alizeh Agnihotri, daughter of Salman’s sister Alvira Khan and producer Atul Agnihotri. Amid a flurry of cryptic social media posts about a film called ‘Farrey’, it’s being reported that the same will be the title of Alizeh’s new project, which Salman Khan will be announcing later in the weekend.
As per a source close to the entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, “This Sunday Salman Khan will be announcing the project. Farrey is said to be a film that will star Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan’s daughter Alizeh Agnihotri. Alizeh has already signed one film titled Budhia Singh: Born to Run that is being directed by Soumendra Padhi. The team has already begun work on the same, but with Farrey making a big announcement; it will most likely be Alizeh’s debut release.”
The source further added, “So far the makers have only let out the fact that Alizeh will top line the cast of Farrey, but all other details including the director, shoot dates, and remaining cast are being kept a secret till the announcement.”
Earlier this month, Salman shared an adorable throwback picture of him holding Alizeh in his arms as the two smiled at each other. He wrote, “Mamu par ek ehsaan karo, jo bhi karna dil aur mehnat se karna! (Do a favor on your uncle, whatever you do, do it with heart and hard work!) Always yaad rakho, Life mein go straight and turn right. Only compete with yourself.”
He added, “Fit hone ke chakkar mein same mat ho jaana, aur alag hone ke chakkar mein sabse alag mat ho jaana. And moossssssst importantly, ek baar jo tumne commitment kardi toh phir mamu ki bhi nahi sunnnaa (Don’t become exactly like everyone else just to fit in, and don’t become too different in order to be distinct. Most importantly, once you have committed then you don’t even listen to your uncle)!!
It was reported in November last year that Alizeh had begun shooting for award-winning director Soumendra Padhi’s film. Soumendra is most known for the Jamtara franchise on Netflix and the National Award-winning film Budhia Singh: Born to Run starring Manoj Bajpayee. Reports claimed that the film is slated for a 2023 release. However, the details of the project remain unknown.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan will next be seen in the third instalment in the Tiger franchise, Tiger 3. Katrina Kaif will also reprise her role as Zoya in the spy-thriller film.
