From Shah Rukh Khan's third release of the year Dunki to Prabhas' Salaar and Katrina Kaif's Merry Christmas; here are six movies which will be released in December 2023.

Bollybuffs, tighten your seatbelts because December 2023 is going to be a rollercoaster ride. With big movies releasing every weekend, the month will be both, busy and exciting. From Shah Rukh Khan’s third release of the year Dunki to Prabhas’ Salaar and Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas; fans are excited for these much-awaited films to finally hit theatres. Here’s a look at six big films which one must not miss in December 2023:

Animal

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal marks the first collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. Besides the two, the film also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in key roles. Animal was originally slated to release in August. It was set to clash with Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Rajinikanth’s Jailer. However, the director chose to delay the film to December because the post-production of the film was incomplete. It will now hit theatres on December 1.

Sam Bahadur

Meghna Gulzar’s directorial stars Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in key roles. Sam Bahadur is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, the first Indian Army commander to be elevated to the rank of field marshal and who led the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. This film will also hit theatres on December 1, 2023, and will clash at the box office with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.

Merry Christmas

The film stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead and marks their first collaboration together. Merry Christmas is shot in two languages, with different supporting actors. The Hindi version co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles. It was earlier supposed to hit theatres on December 15 but has now been preponed to December 8.

Yodha

Yodha stars Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna in the lead. Karan Johar’s film is touted to be one of a kind action entertainer. Yodha revolves around an airplane hi-jack. The film was initially supposed to release on December 15 but has now been preponed to December 8. This means that the Sidharth Malhotra starrer will clash at the box office with Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas.

Dunki

Dunki marks Shah Rukh Khan’s third release of the year after Pathaan and Jawan. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu in a key role. It is being said that Dunki revolves around ‘issues of immigration’ and a man who is working very hard to get a better life. Dunki will hit theatres on December 22 and will clash at the box office with Prabhas’ much-awaited movie, Salaar.

Salaar

This is Prabhas’ one of the most awaited films. Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Meenakshi Chaudhary. Salaar was initially supposed to release on September 28 and was scheduled to clash at the box office with Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War. However, the film was later pushed to December this year because of its pending post-production work. It will now compete with SRK’s Dunki.
