Karan Johar took to Instagram Stories and shared a throwback picture with his father Yash Johar on Wednesday morning. Karan remembered his dad on the latter's birth anniversary.

Karan Johar has penned a heartwarming note on his father Yash Johar’s birth anniversary. KJo has pulled out a major throwback moment featuring himself and Yash Johar to mark the day. Along with the picture, Karan Johar wrote, “Blessings" and added a folded hand emoji.

Yash Johar was an inspiration to KJo and the director always makes it a point to celebrate his late father. Before this, Karan had shared a montage and wrote, “Today along with Dharma, Yash Johar Foundation is also now a reality and continues to form itself into an establishment that is making a difference in the society we live in and I can’t help but feel that he’s still here."

Karan added that his father’s kindness and inedible nature always inspired people, especially him. He expressed the desire that he wanted to take his father’s legacy forward and pass it on to his children. He ended the post by stating that he misses his father every day.

Karan Johar is currently busy with the promotions of Brahmastra. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead. The Ayan Mukerji directorial also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in key roles. Shah Rukh Khan also has a cameo appearance in the film. It will release on September 8.

Apart from this, Karan has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in his kitty. With this, he will mark his return as a director. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will play Rocky and Rani, respectively.
