Dominic Fike, known for his performance in the 2019 HBO teen drama Euphoria has opened up about his drug addiction again. The 28-year-old elaborated that he was under the guidance of a sober coach while filming Euphoria. The plan to keep him clean by the show’s creator Sam Levinson however failed to bear fruit. According to Dominic Fike, he had “nothing in common” with the sober coach, who he claimed to be a “random lady”. This resulted in him giving a deaf ear to her advice. Apart from talking about the experience the actor also highlighted that his return for Euphoria season 3 was unclear.
Dominic Fike recently made an appearance at the Variety Studio, presented by Audible. He was attending the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. During his interaction, he shared details about his drug addiction, working in Euphoria, and featuring in director and friend Jack Begert’s comedy-drama Little Death. In both Euphoria and Little Death, he played the role of a drug addict. “I’ve done that before, like acted like a drug addict. I actually am a pretty big drug addict myself, believe it or not. When I was on Euphoria, they kind of just gave me a coach who would just talk to me. It was just some random lady. Jack is one of my best friends so it made it a lot easier, obviously,” said Dominic.
