Emraan Hashmi's Wife Has Been Threatening To Divorce Him Over THIS Reason: 'She Doesn’t Like...'
Emraan Hashmi made a surprising confession in a recent interview and has joked that his wife has been jokingly threatening to divorce him.

Emraan Hashmi, once known for his bold roles in films like Murder, Aksar and Crook, has been trying to move away from being labeled as the ‘serial kisser’ of Bollywood. In a recent interview with Janice Sequeira, the actor made a surprising confession – he’s been having the same meal every day for two years. He joked that his wife has been jokingly threatening to divorce him because she’s tired of his boring food choices.

“My wife is thinking of leaving me. She keeps threatening me but has not done it yet. She doesn’t like what I eat and I’ve been following this particular diet for two years. The salad has avocado, brussels sprouts, lettuce, rocket leaves… Then I have keema and sweet potatoes. This is both meals, lunch, and dinner,” he shared.

Emraan shared that he eats differently from his family, which upsets his wife. He admitted that his diet can be boring, but he sticks to it because he wants a specific physique along with his daily exercise routine. “Just switch to sweet potatoes. So I’ve two staple meals every day and I’ve the same thing, every year. It’s extremely boring but I’ve chicken keema, because it’s kind of easy to digest, and it’s boiled. Then I’ve salad and sweet potatoes. My cook stocks it, makes it for like an entire week and we bifurcate through the day,” he added.

Recently, when speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Emraan was asked why he stopped doing kissing scenes in films and whether he ever personally endorsed them. He said that he follows his wife’s advice when it comes to this. “It’s the voice of my wife and I listen to that. I haven’t added any kissing scenes in my films. In fact, from the beginning I wanted to tone it down in films but an image of mine was created and a lot of producers took advantage of that. It became a staple thing to please the audience. When I see my films, I honestly feel that in some places those scenes weren’t required but it was an awakening for an audience also. It was a lead for cinema but I received the flak,” Emraan said.
