Why Actress Rambha Quit Acting At The Peak Of Her Career
In 2011, Rambha marked her last film appearance with the Malayalam film titled Filmstar.

Rambha was one of the most loved actresses of the 90s and early 20s era. She was at the peak of her career when she decided to quit acting and marry a Canadian-based businessman Indrakumar Pathmanathan. The duo tied the wedding knot on April 8, 2010, at Karnataka Kalyana Mandapam in Tirumala. They are parents to two daughters and one son.

The actress soared to fame after her notable roles alongside Salman Khan in Judwaa and Bandhan. Despite claiming dominant roles in the film industry, she decided to stay away from the limelight and embrace her married life. In 2011, she marked her last film appearance with the Malayalam film titled Filmstar. Since then, she has not been in the spotlight.

Currently, Rambha is living in Toronto with her family. Despite being away from public glare, she boasts an active social media presence and shares photos and videos which many a time go viral.

There was a phase in her life when the actress went through personal turmoil. In 2016, reports surfaced alleging that the actress was going through a rough patch with her husband, Indrakumar Pathmanathan. There were rumours that Pathmanathan was already married to a woman named Dushyanti Selvavinayakam.

Rambha claimed to be unaware of this situation. Amidst these revelations, there were rumours of the actress considering divorce from her husband. Later, the actress refuted the reports of the separation.

Rambha, born on June 5 in Vijayawada, was originally named Vijayalakshmi. She started her acting journey during her schooling years. In seventh grade, she participated in the Annual Day function. It was during this event that she caught the eye of director Hariharan, who offered her a Malayalam film titled Sargam opposite Vineeth.

Her acting journey spans several film industries including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Bhojpuri and English cinema. She has collaborated with famous actors like Mammootty, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth, Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and Mohanlal, among others.

Rambha returned from Toronto to resume her career. She was seen as a judge on Zee Telugu’s dance show ABCD-Anybody Can Dance and Vijay TV’s Kings of Comedy Juniors. She is also the brand ambassador for Kolors Healthcare, headquartered in Chennai.
