Talented actor-director Satish Kaushik passed away in March, last year, leaving a void in the film fraternity. Satish Kaushik etched his name as one of the most skillful and talented personalities in the film industry. Satish Kaushik had to struggle a lot to become a film actor, his own family did not support him initially. He was not considered a conventionally good looking man for films, which made his family doubt his choices. His nephew Nishant Kaushik revealed in an interview that their family did not support him, since he was “average looking.” Revealing further, Nishant said that Satish had stated, “If I cannot become a hero, I’ll become a joker.”
In a 1999 interview, Satish Kaushik said that with his looks, he could become an excellent comedian like yesteryear legends, Mehmood and Johnny Walker. He asserted, “My only ambition from childhood was to be an actor and I was confident that I’d be just that.”
Satish Kaushik appeared in films like Mr India, Ram Lakhan, Saajan Chale Sasural, Mr and Mrs Khiladi and a lot more. As a director, he has helmed superhits like Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and Tere Naam. Some of the actor’s posthumous releases include Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Kaagaz 2 and Patna Shuklla.
Patna Shuklla was made under the direction of Vivek Budakoti and Rajendra Tiwari. The cast of the film includes Raveena Tandon, Manav Vij, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Satish Kaushik among many others.
