South Korean boyband member Kim Taehyung, better known as V, was recently spotted enjoying a soccer match at Sangam Stadium in Chuncheon Songam Sports Town. The K-pop idol, currently serving his 18-month tenure in the military, was accompanied by fellow soldiers from his corps at the match between Gangwon FC and FC Seoul. The game is a part of the 2024 K League round 4. Now that his training is over, V has been enlisted into the army’s 2nd Corps in Chuncheon. A video of the music sensation being featured on the electronic display at the stadium caught the attention of the BTS Army in no time.
The visual footage dropped on X (formerly Twitter), showed V sitting in the stands, waiting for the match to begin. As soon as the Love Me Again singer appeared on the screen, the crowd burst into a thunderous round of cheers and applause. The overwhelming reaction seemed to make the K-pop star a little shy. With all the focus on him now, V let out a nervous smile and gestured an adorable victory sign with both hands. He was dressed in a military uniform and sported a buzz-cut hairstyle, a mandate for those who have been enlisted in the army.

One person who was unaware that V enjoyed football matches wrote, “What!? Awww, and he loves football. Hope he had a good time."

On the work front, V unveiled the music video of his latest digital single FRI(END)S on March 15. The video presents the singer in a unique love story in two parallel universes. In one of them he is seen with his partner while in another, V looks lost amid happy couples, feeling lonely. The lyrically brilliant number has generated much appeal among the masses, with the sing debuting on the Hot 100 Billboard charts, reports Soompi.
V along with the other BTS members — Jimin, Jungkook, RM, Jin, SUGA, and J-hope are all enlisted in the military. The septet will be reuniting in 2025.
