Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna will be soon seen in a periodical drama titled Chhaava. The film teaser is already out and it received an overwhelming response from the audience. To note, the film is set to release on December 6 of this year. However, now reports are coming in that Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi starrer Pooja Meri Jaan’s release has been postponed to 2025.
Mid-Day quoted a source saying, “It is a special film for Dinesh because it belongs to a genre that his production house hasn’t explored so far. He was looking for the right time to bring the film to cinemas, and has finally slotted it for early 2025.” A report by Mid-Day stated that releasing both films in close succession could result in neither project receiving the attention it deserves.
Coming to Chhaava, the teaser opens with the introduction of Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. He is seen fighting like a brave soldier. The actor has left everyone impressed with his look and action in the small clip. Ahead of the teaser release, Vicky took to social media to share the first poster of the film. The poster looks intense as he is seen fighting with hundreds of soldiers.
Vicky Kaushal portrayal of the Maratha emperor is both regal and convincing. While comparisons to Ranveer Singh’s role in Bajirao Mastani may arise, Vicky’s performance aims to stand out on its own. In Chhava, Vicky Kaushal takes on the challenging role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna stars as his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. Set to release on December 6, the film wrapped up filming earlier this year and is already generating a lot of buzz.
