The actress played the role of Naga Chaitanya’s love interest in the film Yuddham Sharanam.

Naga Chaitanya is one of the Telugu actors who has proved himself with hits like Ye Maaya Chesave and Manam. Chaitanya has acted opposite several prominent actors including Lavanya Tripathi. She played the role of his love interest in the film Yuddham Sharanam, directed by Krishna Marimuthu. Naga Chaitanya acted as her son in the film Bangarraju. The film is a sequel to the film Soggade Chinni Nayana. Lavanya also acted as his friend (a cameo) in the film Manam, directed by Vikram K Kumar. In this manner, the 33 -year-old actress had played the role of Chaitanya’s wife, mother and friend as well in these films. Yuddham Sharanam, Soggade Chinni Nayana and Manam were successful at the box-office commercially.

Naga Chaitanya is currently looking forward to his film Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The film’s team tweeted the first look of the project on November 22. The first look showed him playing the role of a fisherman and sitting on a boat. Chaitanya captioned the post,” #NC23 is #Thandel A character I’m really looking forward to playing .. and a team I’m really fond of @chandoomondeti@Sai_Pallavi92@ThisIsDSPand every one at@GeethaArts. Shoot begins soon.”

The makers have kept the film’s story under wraps. The film’s team travelled to a fishing hamlet called K Matchilesam earlier this year. Situated near Srikakulam, the village is home to a fishing community. The film’s director Chandoo Mondeti and Naga Chaitanya, both spoke to media back then and stated that the film will be based on a true incident that took place at the village. They spent quality time there interacting with the fishermen to prepare for the film.

As per the reports, Naga Chaitanya didn’t just grow his hair out for the role, he spent time with fishermen to learn their body language and dialect. Reportedly, he will speak in a Srikakulam accent in the film, a first for him in his career.
